Relegation means pay-cuts

And manger Micky Adams faces the same pay-cut should the Foxes not stay in the top-flight this season.

"We've got 11 players in but things have been carefully structured in such a way that if we do get relegated the bottom doesn't fall out of the football club," said Adams.

"If the club does go down we will all be on reduced wages. That involves everyone in the club - including myself. I understand the need for that.

But we are not talking about things like that at this stage because we are going to do our utmost to try and stay in the Premiership.

"The bookmakers and the pundits have written us off already but we now have more experience and more depth to the squad than before.

"That is something we are going to need in the Premiership and it wasn't simply a case of bringing in numbers just for the sake of it.

"I am convinced that I have improved the squad. Whether it is going to be good enough or not, we will have to wait and see."
