Leicester City Charity Match.

If you dream of pulling on the colours of Leicester City, this is your chance!

Football Aid is a charity that allows ordinary football fans the chance to play for the team they love, at the stadium, in the strip, with a legend! Past legends for Leicester City include John Ogilvie, Tommy Williams, Paul Ramsey and Ali Mauchlen.

The proceeds go to finding a cure for diabetes and the clubs also get to nominate a good cause to benefit. Funds raised through Football Aid events at Leicester City FC go towards the LCFC Players Charity Scheme, whereby funds are raised for the twenty different charities as chosen by the senior playing squad. This year the grant will go towards charities including: Age Concern, Leicestershire Aids Support Service and Rainbows Childrens Hospice.

Most of the Premiership teams, some of the Championship teams, including Leicester City and a few Scottish teams are taking part in 2006. Last season we held our first International at Hampden and our first European match at the Nou Camp in Barcelona.
