Hignett Set For Crewe Move

The Foxes 34-year-old midfielder, who played for The Alex before moving on to Middlesbrough in 1992, is to sign a loan deal at the Nationwide First Division side.

"Craig is a quality player and can play in various positions," said Crewe boss Dario Gradi.

"He opens up many avenues for you and has always been a goalscorer. It looks a great signing on paper."
