Speaking to The Courier Yorkstone said :-

"There is absolutely no substance to the story and I’ve no idea where the hell it came from,”

“The board at Dunfermline have not discussed a replacement for Jim.

“You’ve got to bear in mind that Jim is on the board himself.

“He’s still our director of football as well as our manager and will remain our manager for the foreseeable future.

“I have not had a conversation with any of my fellow directors, including Jim, regarding his position.

“I can only assumed because of the situation at Livingston, people also decided to speculate about what might happen at Dunfermline in the future.

“Any change could be a year away.”

“We know Jim Leishman will eventually step back upstairs when the time is right, but nobody feels the time is right at the moment,” Yorkston added.

“That’s no reflection on Craig Levein, or his ability.

“I like Craig as a manager and, if in six months we are looking for a manager and he applied, I am sure he would be a serious contender.

“But we are not in that position at the moment.

“There was not one mention in that story of anybody at the club having commented on it—I think that tells you all you need to know.”
