de Vries: You've Not Seen The Best Of Me

The powerful striker moved to the club back in January and has only scored once in 10 starts. However, the former Hearts striker is looking forward to next season once he’s had a full pre season behind him.

"I feel a bit down because I know I can do better and that's something that niggles me.

"So I just want to come back next season, make a fresh start and show what I can do because they haven't seen the best of me - definitely not."

"When I came here in January things looked better than they have done over the last couple of weeks.

"We have made it difficult for ourselves although we have been unlucky at times as well. You need to get the breaks sometimes and we haven't had them.

"After the wins over Derby and Leeds the pressure has been taken off although that pressure should have gone seven or eight games ago.

"Now we can look forward to next season and I know this is the way the manager wants to play.

"It takes a lot of energy out of you but it's worthwhile when you see the benefits and reap the rewards.

"Hopefully it will be like that every week next season."
