Have we really fallen so far ? In the last 3 games , 2 of which even by Levein's standards were 'winnable' we have taken just 2 points. These 2 points have come from sides struggling at the foot of the table and to rub salt in the wounds both teams were visiting the so called mighty Walkers Stadium.
The question we must ask now as the transfer window opens is not who we are going to chase but should we save the pennies to pay off Levein and begin from scratch again. Yes those words begin from scratch are frightening words but so is the prospect of League One football. How long dare we give Levein and his changeable tactics?.
I have believed for some time that under Levein we had begun to show improvement, both on the pitch and in the way the youth structure is being run however the results just don't seem to be appearing and the league does not lie. One comment from Levein that shocked me was made prior to the Reading game were he admitted to Radio Leicester that he still does not know his best eleven. He has been here long enough that this comment seems ridiculous.
Its the half way point of the season, its not too late for a fresh start and some will say its not to late for Levein to turn things around, in my opinion the board must act now either in backing Levein in the transfer window or replacing Levein and searching for new talent.
Its getting harder and harder to find a City fan who now firmly believes that Levein is the future of our club, this supporter unrest will only grow, its not just a blip its becoming a snowball. A manager lives and dies by the results on the pitch, Levein is clearly not getting them. Drastic and swift improvements need to be made if Craig is to remain at the helm into the new year.
