Who's Next?

Dave Bassett has been handed the caretaker's role, but who's next to manage Leicester City?

Early possibilities are:

Newell working wonders at Luton

Mike Newell - Currently at Luton - performing wonders with them. May relish the chance to work at a bigger club. Was a fans favourite during time with city, but may also want to finish the job at Luton.

Gary Macallister - Fan's favourite, but ultimately didn't work wonders at Coventry. May be a sentimental but inappropriate choice

Martin Keown - Now Micky's gone, Keown could relish the opportunity of proving Micky wrong. An arrangement like Millwall's could work, where Keown could be mentored by a more experienced man (i.e Bassett). Another popular idea!

Comic Manager!

Gordon Strachan - Has hinted that he would like to reenter football management. Would be entertaining for East Midlands Today comments if nothing else. Probably unlikely though!

If anyone's interested, Leicester City Mad would go for Mike Newell first followed by Martin Keown!
