The Ivory Coast international defender, signed from Hibernian last week, marked a superb debut with a goal after just 45 seconds in the 2-2 FA Cup third round draw at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday.
Eriksson, who hinted he could complete another signing in the coming days, said: "It was a fantastic debut from Sol, not just for our club but in English football.
"He could have scored three goals and defensively he was outstanding.
"I really hope he goes on playing like that for all the time he is with our club. He was fantastic."
The Swede added: "Maybe there is another signing. I hope so but we will see. It is better not to talk about it until it is fact, if it is to be fact."
