The Foxes take on Real Sociedad at the Walkers Stadium on Friday evening and all four strikers, Matty Fryatt, Ian Hume, Elvis Hammond and Chris O'Grady, hope to impress in front of there home fans and City boss Rob Kelly to gain a place in the starting eleven against Luton.

The four strikers are giving Rob Kelly a lot to think about before the Championship opener. Elvis Hammond and Chris O'Grady have both scored three times in four pre-season appearances.

"It's gone well for me so far", Elvis said. "The manager is still trying to find his team and I am just doing the best I can to push for a place in it".

"I've come back for the new season with a spring in my step and I feel really up for it. It's a clean slate and everyone has got to fight for their place in the team once again".

Matty Fryatt and Ian Hume are still thought to be the main men for City after finishing last season on a high, but the partnership of Hammond and O'Grady is also proving to be strong.

"They have been a handful but I still feel they have to re-establish themselves. It is still early days but all four of the strikers have done well", City Boss Rob Kelly said.

"Elvis and Chris are forcing the issue which gives me a decision to make and that's great", Kelly, continued.

The form of all four strikers is vital for the team. It gives great confidence to all members of the squad, but all four will come up against tougher opposition Friday night in the form of Real Soceidad, and it will give a greater test to all four.

If all four come through that clash firing the Foxes to victory, it will be great news for all Leicester City faithful. Hope's will be high that the strikers can help City push for promotion when the Championship campaign starts at Luton.
