The Irish centreback, who captained City last season before a plague of injuries has signed on a four year deal.

and it is speculated that this was a key issue which persuaded McCarthy to make the switch to the newly relegated Charlton.
The Dublin born defender will be sorely missed by the Foxes faithful as he was regarded as a fans favourite by many and always gave 100% when he wore the armband.
The Foxes-Mad team would like to wish McCarthy all the best for the future.
