The Leicester boss praised the attitude of both teams in their approach to the game.

"Two teams were trying to win and that is my philosophy.

"But in the end it was our resilience that got us the point. We got good blocks in and we had to defend with a lot of courage.

"We are obviously disappointed not to have won after taking the lead but I thought Oldham played well.

"They asked a lot of questions of us and at times it was a bit of a scrap.

"But I always felt we were dangerous on the break and it could have gone either way.

"We had our chances but, having said, that it was another tough game on the road."

Pearson added: "We have had a number of tough away fixtures and we are still unbeaten. We are now 10 games in and have 23 points.

"That is a decent start so I am not going to complain even though we are disappointed in a way.

"They would have felt they should have got something out of the game and I am fairly satisfied. We should have closed down the shot for their goal.

"It was a tough game but I still feel we played enough good football to create chances and that is a positive."
