Pearson delighted but it's still a long way to go

"Everyone has built this game up as being a big one, and obviously it's good to come away with all three points," said Pearson.

"Scunthorpe are a good side, and this ground is always a difficult one to come to but let's get things into context. It's only one win. There is still an awful long way to go between now and the end of the season.

"This is a club where the expectations are so great, and of course it's good for our supporters to see us top of the table.

"But I'm going to stay calm, and my job is to make sure that the players do so too."

Pearson must now prepare his troops for Tuesday's home match with Crewe.
