Leicester's centre-half Paddy McCarthy is winning his race for fitness ahead of City's clash against Crewe on Saturday. The young Republic of Ireland Under 21 international picked up an ankle knock in last Saturdays stalemate with Ipswich. Speaking on the Official Leicester City site Assistant Manager Rob Kelly said
" Paddy had a problem last week and he has aggravated that again on Saturday, but we are hopeful that he will recover in time for the Crewe game this weekend. "

It is believed that midfielder Stephen Hughes has received a slight setback in his battle to regain full fitness. Hughes has yet to feature this season after picking up a niggling ankle injury.
