The Foxes boss also gave special praise to David Connolly after the striker bagged a hat-trick.

"I will be going grey in no time if we keep carrying on like this!Levein said after the game at The Walkers Stadium.

"I thought we scored some good goals and played some nice football, but at times we were pushing the panic button and appeared to be too nervous.

"I felt we played very well going forward where we were excellent at times, but then we lost our shape on numerous occasions in trying to get a third and fourth goal when what we needed was to be more patient.

"Mark De Vries is now playing much better. He had a good pre-season and people can now see that he is a player who likes to have the ball played to his feet rather than his head or chest.

"I was very pleased for David Connolly. He had a hard time last season when at times the ball just would not go in. But he's so hungry for goals that he insisted on playing even though he suffered a knock on his thigh in Saturday's game.

"But I suppose I was pleased that we showed some grit tonight - each time they scored a goal we went straight back down and got one ourselves."
