"When I arrived at this club there was a fear and a dread about us playing at the Walkers Stadium because we had a dreadful record for giving away late goals and losing points.
"But that's been turned around now and I thought in the last 10 minutes of the game we could have won it.
"On one hand, it was a game at home and we had opportunities to score but we didn't and that's disappointing.
"But we've spent a lot of time and effort since the start of the season on trying to stop goals against us because we were conceding far too easily and that's not happening now.
"I'm here for the long haul as manager of this club and now we've got foundations on which we can build.
"What we have to do now is make sure we spend the two-week international break working on how to do better at the other end of the pitch.
"We had Mark de Vries out suspended today and he's our top goalscorer so losing him will have made a difference.
"But his suspension is over and done with now so whatever happens, he'll be back in the team for our next game."
