Leicester v Scunthorpe

Last updated : 01 October 2010 By BBC Sport

Scunthorpe manager Ian Baraclough has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to the Walkers Stadium.

Midfielder Garry Thompson and defender Jim McNulty remain sidelined with groin and ankle injuries respectively, but are the only absentees.

MATCH PREVIEW

After three consecutive defeats, and a total of 10 goals conceded in their last two matches, Leicester City are bottom of the table and manager Paulo Sousa has paid the price by losing his job after only nine matches in charge.

Their shortcomings at the back have been inexplicable given Sousa's defensive approach - an approach that displeased his bosses while at QPR, but helped him almost guide Swansea to the play-offs last season.

The Foxes have conceded a whopping 22 goals this season - more than any other team in the Championship - and half of those have been shipped in the first 45 minutes. Yet a year ago, Swansea had the tightest defence in the division under Sousa.

They will be hoping they can now draw a line in the sand and climb the table. A home defeat against a Scunthorpe side that have won only one of their last six matches, and have failed to score in five of their last nine, would do nothing to lift City's morale.
