The Foxes under Claudio Ranieri are looking like a club with ambitions to compete again this season and have been linked with a number of top players in Europe but perhaps the most interesting is from further afield

A little known Brazilian Luan Guilherme de Jesus Viera, known simply as Luan

The 23-year-old is highly regarded in Brazil, scoring crucial goals for his club Gremio and being named in the 2015 Brasileirao Team of the Year as the tournament's best forward alongside Ricardo Oliveira.

Luan joined Serie A side Gremio in 2014, where he has quickly racked up 105 appearances while scoring 25 goals in all competitions

Luan is yet to break into the Brazil senior squad but has played for the U23 and U20 squads

Luan is expected to feature for Brazil at the Olympics so expect to be reading more about the player in the coming weeks.

Luan has come of age for Gremio after new boss Roger Machado brought in a new style of play that reversed the side's fortunes with a slick passing game and an exciting squad of players, chiefly Luan who has long been tipped in Brazil to go far

Gremio are understood to want at least £35million for the player who was one of the best players in Brazil last season and who also offers versatility with his ability in wide but especially central areas where his speed and skill prove deadly

He is not a selfish player however as he is able to set up teammates with his clever movement and interplay.
