He has only been here a short while but Kelly has already done what no City manager has achieved since 2002. Yesterday's news that Rob had indeed been given the top award for March may have come as no suprise for some, but for anyone who had seen City under the reins of former manager Craig Levein it is an indication of just how much work Kelly has done in his short tenure at the Walkers Stadium.

Kelly has steered City to within a whisper of Championship safety, netting an amazing 21 points out of a possible 30. City remained unbeaten throughout March and came within 5 minutes of a win against high flying Reading on Saturday.

Accepting the award Kelly said that it was not just down to him but that this is a recognition for all the hard work put in by the players, his staff and the supporters.

He said: "I am thrilled for everyone at the club because it has been a real team effort.

"It is recognition for the hard work the players, staff and supporters have put in to help us improve our situation."

The City board were also quick to praise Rob's efforts and dropped the biggest hint yet that Kelly would be offered the job on a pernament basis in the summer.

Foxes-Mad would like to congratulate Rob and the team for giving us an early spring and a summer to look forward to. Keep up the good work!
