Howard Eyes Newcastle Return

The target man has been missed by the Foxes since limping out of action in the Foxes 1-1 deadlock away at Sheffield United.

Howard, speaking to the Leicester Mercury, said: 'I am hoping I will be back and involved in some way on Monday.

'The physio team have worked incredibly hard on it, and it is coming on really well.

'I am back training and I had a really tough session yesterday morning. I am happy with how my recovery is going and I am hoping I will be involved.'

News for the home side is less promising, however, with the Magpies announcing that on form striker Shola Ameobi and Jonas Gutierrez are both doubtful for the Bank Holiday clash.

Meanwhile, Paul Dickov's loan move to Derby County has today been confirmed. The 36-year-old will remain at Pride Park until January initially.
