HOOF HOOF Disgrace!

Its been 12 months since that game that Levein watched and tonight we must ask is their improvement ?. With the exception of the last 5 minutes it was a disgraceful performance by City as they went down 1-0 to fellow hoofers Cardiff. An early goal from Ricketts should have sparked City into life but all it did was see City continue hopeless inefective tactics.

As the half time whistle sounded it was clear to all watching what needed to be done. As the second half commenced it was clear that Levein and City had no idea as they continued to pump long balls forward to a strike partnership that were so far apart they could have been defenders. City continued to hoof it forward as the half went on and didnt really go even close until late on in the second half when Alan Maybury's effort was ruled offside.

It was a dramatic finish as after 90 minutes City seemed finally up for it. Rab Douglas spending the last two minutes in the penalty box in a desperate attempt to salvage something from an appalling display, it wasnt to be and City went down by the single opening goal.

Should questions be asked ? , in our opinion yes, it was clear that hoofing was not the way to play it yet City continued to play that way, towards the end it appeared that Maybury went over to Levein and changed the tactics himself! Seriuos questions have to be asked after this, it wasnt pretty, it wasnt thoughtful with a 20 man brawl being a highlight and a hope that it may somehow fire City into action.

We have players capable of passing, why oh why did we play so deep, with De Vries defending with 8 yes 8 other City players on a throw in when we are one nil down. Sort it out Levein and sort it out fast, abandon your negative tactics and use the players at your disposal, this is not the SPL where you are happy to play deep for a draw against Rangers its the Championship against a lowly Cardiff side.
