Hereford v Leicester. Early team news

The Bulls, 11 points and a sizeable goal difference from safety at the wrong end of the League One table, go into the clash at Edgar Street on the back of Tuesday's disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton.

Captain Karl Broadhurst described the Bulls' performance as "pathetic" as they suffered their eighth defeat in nine games, and their form will have to improve dramatically if they are to give themselves a chance of avoiding the drop.

Defenders Dean Beckwith (knee), Josh Gowling (ankle) and Darren Dennehy (glandular fever) continue to miss out along with midfielder Jack MacLeod and goalkeeper Craig Samson (groin).

Peter Gulacsi should continue between the sticks after making his return from a knee injury against the Seagulls, while there could be a place in the starting XI for midfielder Matt Done after he started from the bench in midweek.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson could be without Kerrea Gilbert.

The on-loan defender was forced off at half-time in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Carlisle and was replaced by Wayne Brown, who could again fill the void.

Andy King and Steve Howard were restored to the starting line-up against the Cumbrians after missing the defeat to Peterborough due to international duty and suspension respectively and should keep their places in Pearson's side.

Goalkeeper David Stockdale is in contention after extending his loan spell from Fulham earlier in the week to keep him at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the season.
