Foxes Show Key Quality

The Foxes were far from their best and many fans would have struggled to put together a convincing argument to suggest the home side deserved their late equaliser.

Whilst the late penalty awarded to Eriksson's men may seem harsh on Sheffield United - who had defended like heroes for virtually the whole of the second half - the referee's decision to penalise Mark Yeates for handball inside the 18 yard box was correct, and Steve Howard didn't disappoint when he found the net from the resulting spot kick with just moments to go.

Whilst the Foxes faithful know their team performed poorly, there are many positives that Eriksson will no doubt take from the match.

After all, playing so poorly and still gaining a result from the match is a vital quality that evades most struggling teams. And the Foxes 'never-say-die' attitude - personified by man of the moment Steve Howard - shows that the Foxes have turned the corner after a relatively poor start to the Championship campaign.

Eriksson will be particularly impressed with the efforts of late substitutes Steve Howard and Lloyd Dyer - their commitment to the cause proves that every player in the squad is desperately hungry for success and the assured confidence of Howard as he smashed home the dramatic last minute penalty shows that the Foxes are on a real high.

The City boss knows that good fortune doesn't last though - and he knows his team cannot rely on anybody but themselves when they host rivals Derby County on Saturday.

Besides, after such a shocker last night, the Foxes faithful will be expecting much more from their team.
