After a goalless first half it too Tranmere less then 2 mins of the second half to take the lead against Leicester City. Antony Kay put the home side on their way to an excellent victory (for them).

The defeat was confirmed in the 82nd minute when Baz Savage was upended in the box and Steve Jennings scored from the spot.

Leicester are now 9 points clear of 2nd placed Peterborough having played the same number of games. MK Dons are 3rd, 14 points behind but with three games in hand.

There's only been two wins in the last 8 games. Not a crisis but it's allowed the other to edge a little nearer.
