Foxes chase MK Dons coach Hamann

Leicester City are looking to bring in MK Dons player-coach Dietmar Hamann, BBC Radio Leicester understands.Foxes boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is eager to add to his backroom staff after seeing Chris Powell leave in January to take over as Charlton manager.

Former Liverpool and Germany midfielder Hamann played under Eriksson when the Swede was in charge at Manchester City.

Hamann, 37, who joined MK Dons in July 2010 after leaving Eastlands in 2009, would not play for Leicester.

He moved to England in 1998, playing one season at Newcastle before joining Liverpool.

Hamann scored the final goal at the old Wembley as

Germany beat England 1-0 - a result which led to then England boss Kevin Keegan resigning,

with Eriksson taking over.
