Eriksson: Biggest Match As Foxes Boss

Last updated : 08 March 2011 By Joe Harris

A win against the high-flying Canaries is crucial tonight, especially after the Foxes recent poor form has thrown their promotion challenge into serious doubt.

The Foxes 1-0 loss away at Loftus Road on Saturday saw Eriksson's men drop down to ninth place in the Championship table - five points adrift of sixth placed Leeds United.

'It is an extremely important game now, probably the biggest since I came here.

'One point from three games is not good enough with the ambitions we have.' Eriksson said.

However, despite the disappointment of the club's recent results, the former England boss is not giving up the chase just yet.

'The good thing is that there are still 11 games to go. But we have to start to take points or it will be very difficult to try and get promoted this season. We need three points desperately.' Eriksson said.

And despite Saturday's loss, Eriksson has not ruled out again using the same 4-4-2 formation that he adopted for the clash at Loftus Road.

'At least we know if we do (use a 4-4-2) it will work. It worked very well against QPR.

'We have full-backs who can get forward very well away, and at home even more, so width is not a concern.' He added.
