A statement at www.lcfc.co.uk from Cheif Executive Officer Peter Davies, who is in Spain, reads: "We are very pleased that a further three of our players have been released.

"Those three are James Scowcroft, Lilian Nalis and Matt Elliott.

"We are working with our legal representatives to secure the release of the remaining three players.

"We are very confident in the Spanish legal process. I have spoken with the players and they wish me to tell supporters that they will continue to vigorously protest their innocence on all charges.

"We hope they will be returning to England very shortly."
