City Look To Escape Big Freeze

The Foxes have already suffered two postponements last month, with away matches at Cardiff and Doncaster both suffering from frozen pitches.

And, with several league clubs up and down the country already announcing postponements to their weekend fixtures, the Foxes faithful are unsuprisingly fearing another cancellation.

The Walkers Stadium operates under soil heating and officials at the club are hopeful the match will not fall victim to the big freeze.

Talking of the situation, Head of operations Kevin Barclay said: "At the moment, the stands are free of water and we have got grit ready to be deployed if necessary and personnel available to carry out the work. We are prepared and ready."

However, further heavy snowfall is forecast across Leicestershire on Sunday.
