Charity Football Tour 2005 - 225 grounds in 4 weeks!

Last updated : 06 July 2005 By Mark Maher
From 01/07/05, Tom and Nick will be attempting to visit 225 clubs from the top 10 English divisions from the Manchester United’s to the Prescot Cables.

At each club a photograph will be taken of Tom and Nick to provide proof of their achievements. Hopefully, they’ll be able to collect merchandise from club officials from around the country, which will be auctioned to raise additional money for their chosen charities.

A website has been set up (www.footietour.com) where you are able to sponsor the tour online and monitor how the tour is progressing. All money raised from the tour will go to MacMillan Cancer Relief – Money raised from auctioned items will be split 50/50 between MacMillan Cancer Relief and the Tackle Africa charity.

People from all around the country have been offering food and their spare beds for the lads, which beats sleeping in the car.

Sue Megginson from MacMillan Cancer Relief highlighted the importance of what Tom and Nick are proposing to do:

The money raised will make such a difference to people living with cancer, their families and their carers’
