Bednar was fit enough for the bench on Boxing Day and came on to play almost half an hour against Leeds after recovering from a knock.
Fellow forward Martyn Waghorn and midfielders Matt Oakley, Franck Moussa and Lloyd Dyer could also come into the frame for starts should boss Sven-Goran Eriksson feel the need to make changes.
Miguel Vitor missed the 2-2 draw against Leeds with a groin strain but the defender is another option for Eriksson should he recover.
Midfielder Yuki Abe remains available after he was left out of the Japan squad for next month`s Asia Cup tournament in Qatar.
