Bednar delight at Foxes switch

The Czech Republic international striker became Sven-Goran Eriksson`s fifth signing earlier this week when he completed a temporary switch until January.

And having endured a bit-part role at parent club West Brom of late, the 27-year-old is chomping at the bit to get some minutes under his belt.

Bednar told City`s official website: "Of course it`s about first-team football. I didn`t enjoy the last couple of weeks because I want to play football, not sit on the bench, so once other clubs were interested I chose this one.

"There is a good coach and also Robbie Neilson, who I played with at Hearts, who said come here because there is a great team spirit, and I am enjoying it already.

"I want want to play in this game (against Forest) and I am looking forward to it. The atmosphere here is great. It feels like a fresh start for me, every minute I am smiling now. The team spirit is good, they know what they can do and I cannot say a bad word about it."
