Adams relieved

Paul Dickov's second half goal cemented the Foxes second place position in the table and with Sheffield Utd losing at Bradford the victory meant City opened up a nine point gap between themselves and the third palced side.

Speaking after the game Adams said: "If I am being brutally honest I have to say that I am relieved after that game and I am delighted with the result.

"Our first half performance wasn’t good for whatever reason, but give the lads credit, they had a go in the second half and we ground out another win.

"I think the key to the game was our goalkeeper who I thought had an excellent game.

"He made two great saves when he was one-on-one and Palace will be disappointed because they were the better side for an hour.

"They could have had the game sewn up if not for some descent goalkeeping from Ian Walker.

"We've had a mini blip but we're back on track now."
