"We are in a good run of form and the confidence is high in the camp. We are doing the basics right and that is very pleasing," Adams said after the 2-0 win at Fratton Park lifted the Foxes up to 12th place in the Premiership table.
"We've learnt lessons since the defeat by Wolves. We've been more resolute in our defending because we've had to be.
"We tried to not give Portsmouth too much space and time on the ball and we got our reward.
"And Ferdinand is playing well. A lot of people wrote him off and said he wouldn't score goals.
"But he's now got five from eight starts so that's a great return from the old man."
