A Worthy Performance?

Leicester took an early lead against the Canaries with a well taken goal for Darren Kenton and Worthingtons honeymoon period had well and truely kicked in, However the team slipped to a yet another defeat at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday.

And, with another opportunity missed, City have fallen to just two points off of the Championship relegation zone with only four games of the league season remaining.

The Foxes now turn their attention to Tuesdays clash against high flyers Birmingham City where Worthington will be looking for no less than three points against Steve Bruce's Blues.

Leicester's collapse was provoked by Robbie Earnshaws introduction into the game. Within minutes of coming onto the pitch, he had slotted away a penalty and saw Gareth MaCauly head into his own net for a dramatic turn around in front of a dissapointed crowd.

Talking after the game, Worthington was quick to highlight his teams good performance.

"We are dissapointed not to take anthing from the game. I was pleased that we passed the ball. We scored a very good goal and were solid at the back.

But because of the tempo we were looking to play at, we became stretched as the game went on.

But it is how we deal with it and how we prepare for the next one (Birmingham)." The Ex Norwich Boss said.
