Rotherham United vs Leicester City

11th September 2004, 3.00pm

Millmoor

Last time we came to Millmoor, we were on a high, knowing that a win would give us automatic promotion. This time however, the shoe is on the other foot, and we are a little nervous about the form of our time, and even though a win should be the result here, the Leicester City faithful are not confident.

What do we need then? We need the fans to get behind the team and the manager for 90 minutes. We need to have every player cheered (even Jordan Stewart), and if it looks like things aren't going our way, we must stay behind

them. I was amongst those that booed the team off against Brighton, and even though that was deserved, it occurs to me that this is not going to help our players confidence. Despite the persistently positive tone coming from the team, they cannot be feeling as high as they could.

Rotherham are a team in trouble (mind you, so were Brighton). The Rotherham fan that contributed to our Opposition's view feature, is confident only that his team won't score. They are bottom of the championship, and have not yet won a game.

Leicester team news is promising. Chris Makin (in my mind, the best signing Micky has made) and Gareth Williams have come through their respective injuries, and Danny Tiatto should be back for the Sheffield United match next week.

Will Leicester win? I hope so, but if not, it is not yet the end of the world. If we still haven't won after our next two home games, then we could be in trouble, but let's remember that we are playing a team that need a result as badly as we do. The match will come down to which team has the stronger team ethos on the day. We lost due to a better 'team' against Brighton, and that's what will win it for us. We need to see the Leicester players playing as one, communicating and not getting on each others backs. The fans need to do the same - It's harder to say than it was, but KEEP THE FAITH!

Leicester to win

KEY MAN FOR CITY

No key man this week. The key will be the team playing as a team, and not as a disjointed bunch of individuals.
