City Close To Signing Loan Striker

Waghorn, 19 has been a Black Cat since the age of eight and was tipped for a great future by former boss, Roy Keane.

The former Manchester United school of excellence Scholar has made a total of five senior appearances for Sunderland, but has also enjoyed a successful loan spell and first team football at Charlton last season, where he scored his first senior goal.

The loan deal, yet to be completed, is expected to keep Waghorn at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the season.
