Celtic have slapped a £40m asking price on Odsonne Edouard to fend off Premier League interest this summer transfer window.
The Frenchman has been Scottish football's outstanding player in the last two seasons, scoring 51 goals across all competitions.
Leicester are thought to be highly interested in the 22-year-old's services, with Everton and Aston Villa also linked with a move this summer. Alongside that trio are Crystal Palace and Newcastle, although the pair are expected to be out of the running given the hefty price tag.
Understandably, Celtic are keen to keep hold of the French Guiana-born forward, with talks set to take place in the coming days to try and convince him his future lies in Glasgow. A new, improved contract is also thought to in the offing.
Speculation over his future has intensified after Celtic's shock Champions League exit to Ferencvaros, the Hoops crashing out in the qualifying stages 2-1 with Edouard absent through injury.
Despite widespread interest, it is the Foxes who are being most heavily linked, in a deal that would see Brendan Rodgers reunited with his former striker. What also plays in Leicester's favour is their strong financial situation as, after selling Ben Chilwell to Chelsea for £50m, the Foxes have funds to part with this summer.
As revealed by 90min back in November, the Foxes also hold a keen interest in fellow Celtic alumni Kristoffer Ajer. The Norwegian centre-back has impressed since joining from Start in 2016 and is believed to be available for a fee in the region of £25m.
